CHAMPIONSHIP BRACKET

Is your dog ready? 🐾🏆 Pooch Playoffs is a bracket-style photo competition celebrating the most lovable, charismatic, and downright iconic dogs in our community, while rallying together for a powerful local cause. We’re kicking off the Lubbock Championship, searching for 16 incredible dogs to compete head-to-head for bragging rights, epic prizes, and the ultimate title of Pooch Playoffs Champion. And because we love a good underdog story, we’re holding space (and hope!) for up to 24 adorable fur babies if the momentum builds. Our initial goal is $1,600, with a dream stretch goal of $2,400+, raised through entries and the generous support of our amazing local sponsors. Each participating pup will receive a super fun swag bag, and finalists will have the chance to win incredible grand prizes from our sponsors. ✨ And here’s where it gets big: The Lubbock Champion will advance to compete in the National Pooch Playoffs representing our city on a national stage. This is more than a competition. It’s community, connection, and a whole lot of tail-wagging joy. Think your pup has what it takes to compete locally, and nationally? Quick phone call, followed by a private in-pup (and person) consultation so we can design your session and get to know each other!
STEP 2

February 1 - February 23

Your pup enjoys a professional studio session designed to highlight exactly what makes them them. Whether that’s soulful, silly, regal, or full-on chaos, we capture it all in a relaxed, positive environment.
STEP 3

February 17 - March 13

Private image viewing where you’ll select the official image that will represent your dog in the Pooch Playoffs bracket. During this step, you’ll also have the option to order heirloom artwork: wall art, keepsakes, or gift pieces, should you wish to do so.

Your dog is officially entered into the Pooch Playoffs bracket!
Voting opens, the fun begins, and you’ll receive:
- Your pup’s custom sWag bag
- Any artwork ordered
- All the excitement of cheering your dog on through each round
STEP 5

March 24 – March 29

One pup will rise to the top and be crowned the Lubbock Pooch Playoffs Champion, winning incredible prizes from our local sponsors, and earning the honor of representing Lubbock on a national stage.
STEP 6

April 3 – April 6

The Lubbock Champion advances to the National Pooch Playoffs, competing against winners from across the country. Once voting concludes, we proudly announce the final donation total raised for Morris Safe House, celebrating the real winners of this experience: the dogs helped through your participation. Details will be announced early March.

OUR CHARITY

Since 2008, Morris Safe House has been a lifeline for dogs across the South Plains. Through rescue, rehabilitation, and thorough vetting, they have helped over 15,000 dogs find safety, care, and loving homes. Their work goes far beyond rescue. It’s about second chances, responsible placement, and advocating for the well-being of animals in our region. Proceeds from Pooch Playoffs will directly support their mission and the countless dogs who depend on it.
